I am getting into digital illustration in a big way! Who would have known that it can be so much fun?
Over the last year I have dabbled in this "new medium" but using a mouse is quite restrictive, even when that mouse is a sleek Apple specimen. And then a friend of mine lent me his Wacom Tablet and a whole new world opened up to me.
I am currently busy with a project for someone and all the illustrations are done in Ai. As soon at it has gone public, I will post a few here.
Until then: I will be MIA, sitting with my tongue sticking out, drawing pretty pictures on my computer and having a blast!

New Pics
I added two new Scientific Illustrations today.
A new financial year just started, and I hope it will bring
with it loads of money and success.

Lazy Lady
Don't feel like much today.
Woke up with all these great plans,
but as the day wore on I became more and more lethargic.
Hence the couch potato impression.
Better luck tomorrow!

A Good Start...So Far
The second day, and I'm posting again!
Been checking out my sisters blog...she's truly talented.
I just love her style and use of lines when shading.
I don't have much news on the illustration-front.
Hopefully things will pick up soon. I need to draw!
Would like putting together a little book which I will write and illustrate myself.
I just need to start with some charachter development now; the story is taking shape.
I was appalled to see what Adobe Creative Suite CS5 costs in this country!!!
How are you supposed to afford it and still pay the bills?
Well, maybe the money will roll in soon. I'd love to have Photoshop etc. and start
experimenting with digital illustration.
It looks like so much fun, especially if you don't have to scrunch up whole pages and start from
scratch everytime you have made a mistake.
Hold thumbs, everyone. And wish me work, as I wish you a prosperous career.

A New Year....
Hi everybody,
It's a new year and I wish you all the best for it.
To start things off, I have enthusiastically decided to update my blog, seeing
that certain people have started complaining that nothing seems to be happening...
(I won't mention names, Tamar, so don't worry no-one will know it was you.)
You are all hereby invited to have a look at some new pictures added to the Gallery.
Have fun this year, and may all our resolutions come true!

Fast Internet Rules!
We have finally managed to get ADSL, and what a difference that makes!
Now I can finally spend time and keep my blog up-to-date, which I am sure Gaelle and Thomas
will appreciate.
On that topic, I just want to use this opportunity to thank both of them and the FNCC
for the amazing workshop they hosted. It was fabulous. I learned so many cool and useful things.
Thanks, guys.
I hope you will all keep your eyes on my blog; soon I will post some pics from a book
I just co-illustrated. What a great feeling!
No more news at the moment.
I wish you all a great weekend
Have fun!

Day 2
Today is the last day of the workshop. The pressure is on to finish these blogs before 17h00.
There's hardly any talking, just the sound of keyboards frantically tapping away.
I actually made my illustration deadline, which is always a good thing.
So, I'll check in later with more news.

A first time for everything
Face- Charcoal |
Well now, it is my first time doing this and let me tell you:
Learning Icelandic suddenly looks like a walk on the beach!
I would like all of you to have a look around my blog.
Please follow the links to other artists' blogs and check out their stuff as well.
And don't hesitate to comment-
it is only through the sharing of ideas that we can grow.
